Range Check function problem (FX-30/TM14)

Hallo,
Ich kann nur ein bisschen Deutsh sprache lesen und shreiben aber ich denke dass dieses forum ist ein gut platz zu fragen. Bitte enschuldigung aber ich muss shreiben auf inglisch (es tut mir leid aber ich denke es ist better für ihr auch )

I noticed a strange bug with my brand nex FX-30. The range check function doesn't work if I just change the model, it only works after powering on the transmitter.

This way works well:
-power on the transmitter
-answer NO, do not start transmitting
-select range check function is the first menu

If you change the model and answer NO to not begin the Tx it should work as well but it doesn't. In this case I get a screen with an endless progressbar and I am forced to power off and power on the transmitter again to escape.

In another words: only the model selected when the transmitter is powered on enables the use of the range check function. If you change model, it doesn't work. (you must power off/on again and the new model will be selected enabling range check next time).
Note that teh problem is only with range check, the transmission at full power starts well everytime.

Do you have the same problem?

Setup:
-FX-30 software 1.4 / TM14 / rx 6014
-english menus
-no sd card in the transmitetr
-tried 2.4GHz general and 2.4GHz France, the problem is the same

Hello Helmut, thank you for answering.

So we know that it is a software flaw. It is not a major issue but it should be fixed anyway. I will drop a line to the robbe/futaba support team, just in case they are not aware of the problem.

While the issue is not fixed, the workaround to perform a range check is:
1/power on the radio
2/select the model
3/turn OFF the transmitter
4/power on again and do not start transmitting (answer NO)
5/perform the range check

Dann sollte Big Papa Rudi mal in Aktion treten. Der Softwarefehler könnte nämlich ziemlich fatale Auswirkungen haben, wenn man ein Modell wechselt, was bastelt und dann die Reichweite ergründen will.

this problem was passed on at Robbe !
have please something patience

first of all:

1. Transmitters switch on
2. HF-send no
3. Range test
4. Everything well

Afterwards:

1. Model change
2. HF-send no
3. Range test
4. Transmitter remains hanging

must switch off and restart it around this "condition" to RESETS !

The range test functions only perfectly after first switching on of the transmitter !!
The transmitter must be switched off always only, after the model change,
then only a renewed range test can be made.
a second range test cannot be accomplished within model changes !

This problem was passed on directly at Futaba.
A solution will probably take something time.

OK we say the same thing

Since FX-30 and T12FG use the same software, they seems to be twins with different housing. I wonder if T12FG owners are experiencing the same issue with the range check function

a range test I made, for that was complete correct !
I fly 14 models, without a further range test to have made
since I full confidence in 2G4 FASST have
however I build the transmitters absolutely correctly into my models

Robbe has just released the software version 1.5. It fixed this bug is fixed and added some new features (range check redo, memory timers and so on...).

As usually it can be downloades from the robbe support download section for registered customers.
